Description

The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites unemployed graduates to apply for a twelve (12) month Graduate Recruitment Scheme at the Office of the National Commissioner: Corporate Support. This programme forms part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy.

Responsibilities

• Edit videos for SAPS social media platforms and other marketing projects to a high standard
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage projects to a high standard, always adhering to broadcast team workflows and processes
• Undertake basic animation and motion graphics tasks at a high level
• Colour correction and grading images and videos, conforming to broadcast and film standards and guidelines
• Source music and perform sound mixing edits
• Ensure compliance with SAPS brand guidelines
• Operate and maintain video cameras and related equipment
• Record and produce video/audio content for SAPS events
• Plan and develop visual presentations for special projects
• Uphold strong storytelling, detail orientation, and work ethic

Qualifications

• South African citizen with a National Senior Certificate (or NCV L4)
• Must hold a Diploma/Degree in Video Production, Film Production, Multimedia Production, Communication Science, Digital Media Production, Screen Production, Motion Arts or related (NQF 6+ registered on NLRD)
• No criminal record or pending cases
• Unemployed, never worked in the field, and not previously part of a relevant internship
• Resident of the province where the post is advertised
• May apply for a maximum of three (3) posts (each with a separate application form)
